And that is how she wrote - convincing you gently, not with violence and paroxysms, but with humor. Here, it is about desire and how it can be stronger than everything else. To understand is to analyze, control, and put things in order. You must accept a certain amount of disorder and have courage, because you don't know where you are going. I think cinema is good for incarnating the parts of the mind that you cannot explain. It is also better, I think, to adapt a short story for this reason than a whole 'roman' - it becomes 'trop litteraire' and this makes sometimes the mystery disappear. It was a challenge for me because I don't speak very well English, you see, and it helped me to let go and trust my wonderful actors. Show less «
