Penance

Antaine is a disciplined little boy. Ion O'Donnell is trying to influence the boy to fight in 1916 because he believes there is no way for Britain to get out of Ireland except fighting. Fifty years later, the boy Antaine returned 50 years later to return to Derry but became a strong armed and experienced young man. Perhaps the appearance of the young man will cause Eoin to throw back the cause of his collapse in 1916 and perhaps that effect has the echoes of changing everything.
